Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley was forced to do the unimaginable and fire one of his heavyweights, Marlene McDonald.
For months, Rowley and pious Al-Rawi tried to explain away the actions of the former minister as they are now doing with another who is being probed about a banking transaction.
Clearly McDonald‘s burden became too much to bear and Rowley acted. He must now revoke her appointment as deputy leader of the PNM and in fact move that the party expel her as a member. This will clear the way for her to be removed from Parliament as the Crossing of the Floor Act provides that once a party expels someone they shall automatically vacate the seat to which they were elected.
Come on, Dr Rowley, let us see how dangerous your bark is!
