Which came first, the chicken or the egg? This is the rhetorical question I ponder each day while making the sloth-like exit from Port-of-Spain. Only instead of the chicken or the egg, it is the nutsman and the traffic. The nutsman who sells between lanes on the open road benefits from traffic and perpetuates it simultaneously.
I myself am quite fond of the salted nuts or the honey roasted, however, I only patronise vendors at stop lights.
Why? Well, it is because I have a rare disease known as “empathy.” It causes me to be considerate of those folks driving behind me who would like to get home.
Another crazy thought occurred to me while pondering this cycle of time: as the TTPS has decided to enforce the traffic laws recently perhaps they can find a law about obstructing the roadways and enforce that one as well. Maybe this is wishful thinking, or maybe I have gone nuts.
