The collective consequence of benevolent leadership coupled with the patriotic mindset of citizens putting country first are prerequisites that develop a nation to progressive status. Empirical proof of this is a country smaller than T&T with less natural resources, Singapore.
T&T has more substantive potential today to build a progressive nation than Singapore ever had when they started decades ago.
The mantras sung by our citizens that “we will rise” and “Let’s do this” exemplify the collective potential of a nation that says although divided politically, we have a united optimism, interest and vision to move forward. Citizens for country under a patriotic mantra “Yes we can,” can indeed “rise and do this” in unity!
We must come together as a democratic nation of citizens of country first, dutifully support whichever administration the electorate selected to govern and focus on unity to build rather than divisiveness to destroy. It’s our only way forward to sweeten our beloved sweet, sweet T&T.
